“We are media”
Too many people are still indifferent towards addressing today’s fundamental human challenges. And those who care and work in the right direction underestimate the lack of empowerment coming from our media environment.
It is one thing to take all the right decisions, but it is another thing to have society embrace, encourage, engage in these changes. Only media can help achieve that, and media today are often irresponsible, focused on entertainment, sensational negative news and the monetization of people’s attention at the benefit of consumerism.
Fortunately, through the internet, media power came back in people’s hands. Everyone’s focus on social media simply means: we are media. By some incredible twist of fate, all of us have been empowered to convey information better, faster and more efficiently than ever before. So, it is now up to us to convey the right information, to create the right media environment that will reshape our destiny by placing life and love back at the center of our development. This mission is at the heart of Cities of Love.
