Rotterdam was extraordinary some weeks ago. The thick mist that clouded the harbour city wasn’t particularly pleasant for a lot of cyclists trying to fight through the moist air. But for me as a photographer it was a dream come true. I always wanted to take photos of the mist but never found the right place or the perfect timing. But now I was out and about shooting presskit pictures for a young up and coming DJ Axial and this is what I saw!
If you have seen earlier posts of my work than you know I have a special place in my heart reserved for the Erasmus bridge. And the mist gave the bridge a mysterious coating and a dangerous look.
A little bit further away from the bridge you can find the famous Hotel New York. With this mist it almost looked like a ghost town…
And finally a sample shot from the presskit for DJ Axial I shot, which was the reason in the first place I came to Rotterdam that day.
